Hi, on behalf of the faculty, staff and students, I would like to welcome you to the College of Arts and Sciences.

The College of Arts and Sciences serves as the heart of Winthrop's campus, covering 14 different departments, five centers, and serving more than 1000 majors within our programs. Our programs cover majors from Biology, to English, to Chemistry, to Political Science, and all the way through to our Individualized Studies program, where students can customize their own degree interest, and the World Languages and Cultures, where students elect to major in French and or Spanish. We also have programs in Sociology and Criminology, as well.

Beyond that, we deliver all of the campus's Gen-Ed program, so to that extent, almost every student at Winthrop will come through the College of Arts and Sciences, either for their writing one on one requirement, for their foreign language requirement, or for their math and science requirement. And so we look forward to serving you. We can't wait for you to get here. So from our screen to yours, welcome to the class of 2024
