Welcome to Dacus Library. We are located across Oakland Avenue at the corner of Eden Terrace. During the fall and spring semesters, the library is open 24 hours a day five days a week.
If you need assistance, head over to the Information Commons desk. You can check out books, laptops and iPads. We also have textbooks that check out for three hours at a time.
Have research questions? Librarians are available to help you with searching databases, finding resources, using citations, and any other research needs. For more in depth help, you can use our Book a Librarian service to schedule an appointment for one on one, personalized research assistance.
If you can't make it to the library, we're also available through chat and email.
Dacus library has the largest computer lab on campus. There are 91 computers spanning the three floors of the library and a separate lab for Macs. We also have three black and white printers, a color printer and three scanning stations. The library contains over 400,000 books, journals and DVDs. You can browse our collections of physical items and find more resources through our online databases. The music library is located on the second floor. It contains musical scores, recordings, videos, and a music librarian who can help you with your research. Group study rooms are available on the main floor of the library. There are four conference rooms with whiteboards, two rooms with laptop connections to a large shared screen and one room with a computer and projector to practice presentations. On the second floor, you'll find 11 small, quiet study rooms each equipped with a computer. The library has a student lounge with a microwave, vending machines and comfy seating, the perfect place for a meal or study break.
Dacus Library has all kinds of events throughout the year. Follow us on social media to stay in the loop. We hope to see you soon.
